Porsche model offensive includes a Ferrari rival

Panamera Coupe would be great, revive the 928.
Nissan considering Subaru BRZ / Toyota 86 rival - report
April 11, 2012
My first car was a used 240SX. I bought a new 350Z in 2003 when they brought it out and currently own a GT-R that I bought new. Nissan makes great cars, though I would say their fit and finish seems to be a slim notch below Honda. The Silvia does not make a lot of sense for their lineup, they don't need a car between the Z and GT-R in a weak global economy. From a positioning standpoint, a new 240SX variant slotted below the 370Z seems to make more sense, especially when you look competitively and see the success of the Hyundai Genesis Coupe at that price point and eventually the new Subaru/Toyota BRZ .
Range Rover Evoque Cabrio concept revealed
February 24, 2012
I'm with VTEC on this one. There killing the Range Rover brand by diluting it with all these lesser variants. This thing has a 4 cylinder engine and is extremely over priced. Now a convertible variant as if there is that much of a demand for this thing. I just got rid of my Range Rover Sport and got a 2012 Range Rover, supposedly the styling of the Evoque is going to be a precursor to the styling for the new Range Rover due in 2013.
2013 Ferrari 620 GT live shot & alleged official image leaked

I'll take the Aventador all day over this thing, as I would the LP640 over the 599. It's certainly a subjective thing, but Lambo's designs just look timeless and jaw dropping as an exotic should, Ferrari's have always been subdued by comparison. Ferrari needs to make a mid engine V12 that's not in the ultra exclusive limited production category like the Enzo.
2012 Jaguar XKR-S Convertible debuts in L.A. [video]

Love it, the best XK yet. However, it's ashame you have to be a country club going senior citizen to drive one. If Jaguar could find a marketing campaign to break the stereo-type and appeal to a younger generation that doesn't always require that you wear a collared shirt tucked in to have one they'd be good to go. The XJ's are well-designed too, but they're like Buick's in the sense that you very rarely if ever see someone under 65 driving one.
2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 performance numbers and pricing released
November 16, 2011
That's a he'll of an engine for the money, but then again, so are all the corvette engines from the base car all the way up to the ZR1. GM is definitely being generous with the value with this Camaro. As beautiful as these engine specs are, the only downside is at the end of the day you still have a Camaro.
SURPRISE! Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale [videos]

Wow, rarely do I post comments, but this one was too ignorant to pass up. @e36mmm, I agree with almost nothing you said... Are you implying Porsches to be at a different level, as in more exclusive than Lamborghini or Ferrari, which is just ridiculous, or are you referring to their annual sales figures, which is not an area Ferrari or Lamborghini want to get inorder to preserve their rarity. Why should one not compare 911's to Lamborghini or Ferrari- someone shopping for a $265K GT2-RS certainly may consider a 458 or Superleggera. Pure performance you mention, how many Porsches honestly walk a 599 GTO, 458, Scuderia, Aventador, or Superlegerra...very few at best. Top Gear compared an LP560-4 to a GT2 and it wasn't even close. You speak of Porshces racing pedigree and question Lamborghini and Ferrari. While Lamborghini only races it's own series, there's this small little circuit called Formula 1 where Ferrari has been rumored to play in the sand next to the race track every now and then. In fact, I think they've actually participated a few times and won 16 Formula 1 World Championships. "No power to match their exotic looks," what are you referencing here. Last I checked, the 918, Carrera GT and GT2-RS are the only cars that stack up power wise to the current Lambo and Ferrari line up. Porsche puts 620 bhp in there top of the line GT2-RS, Ferrari puts 620bhp in there 4 seat grocery getter. I'm yet to see a 690bhp Porsche, yet Lambo's got one in their lineup. You sound like a Porsche guy, no disrespect, their great cars, they just don't lift my skirt. It's hard to justify $265K for a GT2-RS when relatively speaking, a Carrera S doesn't look all that different. I'll take the Lamborghini LP550-2 Monochrome Edition that I've ordered and anticipating in December all day over any current lineup 911.

Couldn't agree more. This devalues the car more than it helps it, but if it makes the owner more happy, to each is own.

A buddy of mine has GT2 RS and paid $265K, he ordered with the full painted carbon fenders. Most nicely equipped 458 Italia's will run $265K-$285K easily. From a price point, there pretty much in the same ballpark. Most spending thar type of cash want a stand alone model that doesn't get lost in the crowd with all the other dozens of 911 models. The 458 Scuderia variant will be a better apples to apples comparison with the stripped out GT2 RS. Why no mention of Lamborghini, last I checked they play in the same price point?
Lamborghini Gallardo ST headed to Frankfurt?
August 9, 2011
Almost all Lamborghini's run 10 year life cycles with a 5 year refresh/update. Murci ran from 2002-2006, with the LP640 update coming in 2007 and running through 2011 ending with the SV. The Gallardo was introduced in 2004 updated in 2009 to the LP series and should run through 2013. Expect a new Gallardo, rumored to be called the Cabrera, to show up in 2014 as a 2015 model. Full carbon shell like the Aventador with ~600bhp
