Saab sale to be blocked by GM The point is that SAAB will lose its identity as a brand, if Chinese overtake SAAB, who knows what they are going to do with it...Copy the Intelectual Property and technology knowhow, then resell it and kill the brand? OR Possibly invest sufficient amount of money into SAAB (latest Saab models look inside like they were ten years ago), employ new car designers (Bangle etc.)and try to compete on European market first :-) However, I think in Chinese hands, it would be the end of SaaB..
