Shareholder calls on Mercedes to quit F1 I agree, but, in defense of Maybach, the problem was never "Maybach". It was Mercedes. It was a combination of things from using OLD M-B architecture, to looking like an old S-Class. They never really even tried to market it, update it, or differentiate it from Mercedes models. While the S-Class is king, the Maybach should have been incredible. Look at the RR Phantom, for example. It's based on a 7-series, but only those who "know" would even realize that. The Maybach looks like an old S-Class. Being based on an old S-Class, I'm sure it also feels like an old S-Class, with a chassis two generations old. Who wouldn't simply take a newly engineered, modern-chassis, top-line S-Class & add to it anything they desire to add, without spending more than double? I think the only real buyers they had were rappers & athletes who care more about saying how much their car costs. I personally never liked the looks, and the dashboard looked out of the 90's. I do think that it could easily have been THE ultra luxury choice, if only it wasn't treated like an unwanted step-child.

Cadillac XTS pricing announced (US) I know of no German luxury car buyers who even consider cross shopping at a Cadillac dealer. Not saying it's a bad car, but, likely the cross shoppers would be comparing to Lexus. Good to see that Caddy is stepping their game up, though. Worlds better than they were just 10 years ago.

Toyota considering a Supra successor? I don't see the GT-R like that. It's not really a succesor to anything, except the previous GT-R's. It has always been Nissan's top of the line, not the Z, which was the Supra's competitor.

Rappers Kanye West and Jay-Z desecrate Maybach in new 'Otis' music [video] I could't possibly care less about what they did to the Maybach. What it does sound like to me is that most of you are angry/upset because #1.You will never know what it's like to have money and do with it as you please, at any given time, without worrying about cost. #2.You're even angrier that it was done by two "ghetto" black guys, who you consider beneath you, and you, with your low self esteem, hate that. It burns you up. I don't have to agree with what they did, but, I wont be losing any sleep over what the next man is doing, when it does not affect me in any way. Also keep in mind their line of work. These are the kind of things that they all do (trying to out flash each other) With that in mind, I understand the point. (Every rapper says he's the richest, and blah blah blah, but, these two rappers just destroyed what other rappers use as a trophy.
