The design of the Audi R8 is held in such high esteem that it has acted as inspiration for quite a few design projects.  The latest is this catamaran which has been cleverly styled by Swedish company Vizualtech.

The project is for a Dubai race boat company, it is 8.8 meters (29 feet) long and features a cool set of gullwing doors. Power will come from either a modified biodiesel V10 engine or from two smaller 320hp V8 engines.  Estimated top speed stands at an impressive 110mph.

Production... errrr - unlikely.

that's quite cool, but I hope it won't inspire Audi while making the R8 facelift....

Gullwing doors? Won't the water percolate through them?

The rear reminds me of the diffuser on the Citroen GT concept.
