For the last few months this prototype has been doing the rounds, but we had been at a loss to confirm exactly which model it actually is, that was of course until General Motors announced the Chevrolet Orlando Concept for the Paris Motor Show. Obvious hints of European styling can be found on the concept, hints we hope make it to production, but the Americans will have to make do without this one, General Motors have already confirmed the model won't be heading for U.S. shores.

The huge black clad camouflage hides much of the overall styling, hinting that the final model may well sport a toned down exterior package, however the interior will still feature a seven seat layout spread out over three rows. Its underpinnings will come from the Chevrolet Cruze and we should also see a similar engine range inherited from its sibling including Chevrolet’s latest-generation 2.0-liter turbo diesel, developing 150 hp and 320 Nm of torque.

Dont't worry! Is the same crap! They're the same company, and most americans are so proud, because they're diving an "american" car, when a good percentage of GMC cars have korean engines, such as Daewoo, Kia and they are sold as chevy's......LOL

What GM car has a Korean engine besides the ones made in Korea (Aveo/Matiz/G3/etc.)? But the engine in the Equinox and Torrent is even lower on the food chain... built in China!

And Americans can build quality cars... like Camry, Accord and Corolla, lol.

By the way, not all American's are the stereotypes you make them out to be. I happen to be an American and would never buy a GM, Ford, or Chrysler. Also, I actually think this looks pretty cool.

I'm just saying, that most americans are so proud of their Chevy's, GMC'S and so forth, and they don't know, that their chevy's are at least 60% korean, or even worse, chinese made. Duh! And this one goes out to you machida....those are japanese cars being made in America

As an American I have to agree... Way too many anti-American steriotypes are thrown around on this site. While some have merit, the vast majority show pure ignorance on the part of the writer. With that said, it amazes me how often a picture of a vehicle hidden by camo will generate a solid opinion. If this vehicle is a continuation of the minivans GM has/are discontinuing in the US then yes, it will be junk. On the other hand, if they take the same approach to its design and build that they have with the other new GM vehicles that have been brought to market the last few years (Malibu, CTS, Enclave) then it should be very good. Either way, you can't determine that from a picture. Personally, I agree with GM's decision not to bring it to America. Minivan sales have been sliding for years in the States. You can keep all these mostly ill-handling MPVs for yourself!

Well, Im not american, but I like the new Camaro and the hybrid, Volt. So, its not crap all the cars with a Chevy logo on.And the cars from Opel also beginning to look good. Maybe the next car I have will be a Volt ;)or Insignia from Opel...
