Acura announced today that the all-new TL will hit dealerships at the end of the month with a RSRP price starting at $34,955 for the base 3.5-liter V-6 model, this price can rise to $38,685 when it is equipped with the optional Technology Package. The new TL SH-AWD which is powered by a 3.7-liter V6 and all-wheel-drive carries a base price of $38,505 rising to $42,235 with the Technology Package. A destination and handling premium remains at $760 and is not including in the aforementioned prices.

"The completely re-designed TL's performance, sophistication and styling have been dramatically elevated to satisfy both luxury sedan buyers and enthusiast drivers," said Dick Colliver, executive vice president of sales. "Its introduction marks a new and exciting era for the TL and for Acura."

The top spec TL SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive) is the most powerful Acrua ever, its 3.7 liter V6 engine pumps out 305hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. The exterior design is the result of the “Keen Edge Dynamic” design language which was first seen on the TSX, there are those that like it, there are those that hate it, but it sure brings presence to the model. The dimensions of the model come in a little higher than its predecessor, the length, width and height are increased by 6.2 inches, 1.8 inches and 0.5 inches respectively. The new platform sees a slightly longer wheel base of 109.3 inches and it features a strengthened chassis with a double-wishbone front suspension and multilink rear suspension.

One of the worst modern stock grilles. I pity the fool who will pay $42k for this piece of crap.

It's not the grille, it's the massive slab of front bumper beneath it. OK, it's the grille too. The nose of this car is completely out of proportion with the cabin and greenhouse.

Then again it's not as frightening as the Advanced Sedan Concept: http://www.worldcarfans.com/2061130.005/acura-advanced-sedan-concept
