Porsche Panamera First Teaser Released

Over the past two years, WCF has covered the Panamera's development extensively, of which the latest video and spy photos of the interior can be seen here and here. But today, Porsche has finally released the first teaser image of the highly anticipated four-door four-passenger GT model.

With only a limited glimpse of the front side profile, we can see the bumper fascia with foglamp (possibly LED daytime running lights) and headlamp design.

Porsche has released this teaser image in promotion of the Panamera Online Magazine which is offering a wide range of information about the latest member of the Porsche family at www.porsche.com/panamera. The site includes videos of disguised prototypes on test drives.

Starting on October 20, Porsche will launch a print advertising campaign, again offering more sneak previews.

it's like those teaser call girl ads. they can only show you the only good part. the rest are ugly.

Same old boring design, I think Porsche doesn't have a design team. They put one design on all cars.

i still think it will be a nice car, the mule don't need to be pretty, the front already way better from this angle,but eveybody makes mistakes(=see the Ferrari California(way too Japanese).So Porsche, surprise me!!! And please respond to the Godzilla GTR, just to make your point(our else it's gonna be game over, better performance for 1/2 price=GTR)

Come on, just give it to me already! It's like I'm beggin my girl friend for some. Enough with the peek-a-boo bs. Wow, it's surprisingly looks like... a Porsche!? Okay, we get it. I think they probably should've shown a partial side view instead of the front end. I think 4 doors would've made the average spectator takes more notice. Can't wait to see the whole thing. Hope it kicks ass!

The Front end looks good, really huge overhang. They got rid of the chrome shell in the headlights as well, which will make it look more aggressive.

the rear won`t change that much imho but i am pretty sure it will look acceptable/okay without the camouflage.

Sex. And those of u saying "Porsche never changes their desgins"? Duh, thats what Porsche is known for, thats like a Range Rover being shaped like a 4Runner or a Corvette not having its double tail lights. A Porsche is a Porsche. Do we really want more Chris Bangles?

NO. No Chris Bangle. M.V.P. you're trippin. Chris Bangle's design is a clear example of selling out of it's history. Porsche will always be Porsche. 50 years from now, Chris Bangle might make the 7 series look like a triangle while people would still be able to recognize a Porsche.

I think everyone with some sense of taste would take the Aston over this. The front end looks alright, but we all have seen the rear which is unbelievably ugly, and I don´t think it will change. But hey, Americans with no taste will buy it, just like they do with the Chayenne:) I think Porsche is ruining it´s image with models like Boxter, Cayman,etc.. They should´ve just stayed with the 911, and keep their prestige.

porsche wouldn´t exist anymore without extending it´s model range in the mid 90s. the cayenne and the boxster is a very successful story and the added a lot to make porsche the most profitabel carmaker in the world now. even lamborghini and ferrari are considering to go the porsche path and will likely offer various models and cheaper models to attract young(er) customers. The panamera´s rear is in the vein of the 928 or 356 coupes, the front looks a bit like the CGT. porsche is all about tradition and history and the pana fits that tradition. it will be a success, no doubt.

Mercedes Benz pioneered the hyper-performance saloon concept with the achingly elegant CLS and almost every supercar maker jumps on the bandwagon.

I have seen the Panamera and I have to say the rear end is better resolved than the front, but that could be deliberate in order to maintain the unique evolutionary Porsche design language (which most may deem boring, but unmistakeable nonetheless).

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Would you say Panamera is uglier than the best-selling Cayenne? Exactly.
