2009 Nissan GT-R Pricing Increased by More than $7000
Following an announcement by Nissan, the formidable GT-R which we all thought was a steal at $69,850 isn't quite so much of a steal anymore. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices (MRSP) has risen to a cool $76,840 for the base model whilst the premium model which includes heated seats, side air bags and an 11-speaker Bose sound system rises from $71,900 up to $79,090.
Neither figure includes the $1000 handling costs or dealer markups but a 10% premium is quite a rise which could even see a slowdown in the demand for the GT-R. Currently 70% of the U.S. allocation is accounted for following the pre-sale program, first deliveries of the vehicle commenced on 7th July and the price increase which has been put down to rise in the cost of raw materials will only affect consumers who purchased the model after the 5th September.

Both stories ran at the end of July this year. You can do your own research into it if you like.
People with benz's that have over 500 bhp will never use 1/10 of the cars potential because they cant with all the police around. Its about knowing that you have an exclusive car that no one really has. Its about being unique. Its about not just using a boring car to transport u from one place to another. Its about how u feel on the drive. Its about merging on to the freeway and realizing u are already going faster than the traffic before u even get on to the freeway. That is why we pay so much.
Also, everyone has to make lots of money. If no one did make much money then people wouldnt invest their money in these companies. These companies wouldnt have the money to invest in bringing us new things.
