The lads at Jalopnik.com have procured from a top secret source a few new photos of the Corvette Centennial Concept. After being seen on the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen sequel film set, it was rumored to be the next C7 Corvette, but then later revealed as GM's Corvette Centennial Design Concept. Set to coincide with GM's 100th anniversary, the Centennial concept merges design elements from historic GM muscle cars such as the Stingray and Camaro.

Although GM is celebrating its 100-year anniversary this month, it's not known if the Centennial concept will wait until the Transformers film releases in 2009 or be revealed for the GM celebration. Our money is on the later.

To be honest this car is ridiculous as most of dreams born in nowhere between heavy industrial suburb and drive in cinema.

I couldn't agree more. What is the purpose of those wings, angles, sharp corners ... they are fuzzy, no function and minimum of something one calls "style". And of course, the 4 exhaust pipes ... it means, the car pours benzine on the road rather than efficiently uses.

Hmm, ... sadly

Good design and great flow of lines...the only let down of this design is the damn grill..it looks underdeveloped and added on last

Sheesh, looks like they tried to much on the styling here. Be nice as a villain in TF2 or a batmobile rep in black.

geez the 4 tail pips in the middle like that looks tacky and so do the big air intake things next to them

You who dont like it, keep driving your moms' feminine downtown junkies, it is Vette for God's sake, what would you expect?

by trailer | September 5, 2008 1:11 PM
A sports car I suppose.

Why Corvette should look like taken from blured futu-naivist wet dream?

by alessandro | September 5, 2008 10:01 PM
Hmmmm...I love some of the details and hate some of the others. Just seems like too much. In this case, "less is more".
