Video: Elegant Drifting with a Maybach
Despite weighing over 2,800 kg (6,184 lbs), being rear wheel drive and having a 550hp V12 under the bonnet producing 900 Nm (663 lbs/ft) of torque, it's still easy to imagine the difficulty in drifting a Maybach 62 around a curve. However, the chaps at iMotor have taken the challenge, of course with the help of a skilled driver, a nice new tux and a wet slick track. The only thing missing from the video is a sip of bubbly while drifting through the turn.
[Correction: Vehicle is a Maybach 62 S with 612 hp]

That's some good quality fun. Brings back memories of high school days doing silly things with my dad's old 560Sel in unshoveled school parking lot after it snowed.

While it wouldn't look as pretty in slow motion with beautiful music, I could drift a 50ft Penske truck on a closed, wet course. I'm not as impressed as most. Slip angles on wet asphalt are the same as dry, they just creep up much sooner!

its the 612hp 62S in the video and not the 550hp 62 as mentioned in the review. nonetheless a great limousine

wow people are either running out of cars to play with or are losing their minds. i find this idea to be quite hilarious even though its a demonstration of quality engineering. wow

pretty impressive, but to be honest, i've seen videos of trucks and even buses drifting that impressed me a lot more... and those things weigh over 6 tonnes
