It is little more than a month away until the first international motor show of the season commences in the French capital, it must be about time for the leakages, first up is the all-new Renault Megane III. Ten high resolution images of the five-door version have been uncovered by KM77.com revealing all the styling details for all to see.

The new Megane is based on the Nissan Qashqai and it will enter the European arena against the likes of the Peugeot 308, Fiat Bravo and VW Golf VI.

This five-door model is expected to be joined in Paris with a three-door version before further body styles are released over the next 12 months, these variants will include the coupe, estate and convertible version.

by Hardboy997 | September 1, 2008 4:26 PM

by blaconque | September 1, 2008 8:29 PM

this is a very nice car. but: i think its looks are way too japanese. especially the rear end reminds me of the mazda 2. if you ask me: to boring to be a real renault.

Nice design. And cars look better in the metal.

BUT, how long does it take to change the headlamp on this new one?

great movie, shows clearly how rudiculous renault desings sometimes are...

by afterace2 | September 2, 2008 2:35 PM
that's a big change. i like it, but i think current megane is just more, i don't know, outstanding than this one. it's like a totally different car. nice one, though.

by paula1105 | September 1, 2008 6:58 PM
oh and to me it looks like they crossed the new laguna with the new twingo (front) and astra III/seat ibiza/volvo C30/whatever.

by paula1105 | September 1, 2008 7:02 PM
Way better than the previous one. Wonder what the F1 version will look like.

by mps | September 1, 2008 7:39 PM
the current one is sexier.. the new one has a resemblance of Renault Sandero.

by electra | September 2, 2008 5:34 AM
Not a dissapointment at all. Nice car, how about newer engines will be interesting to know.

Looks dull and boring. The present wasn't to everyone's tastes (including my own) but some people love it for being distinctive at least. This says nothing to me. One of the dullest cars released all year (and we're into Sept).

by fusion01 | September 2, 2008 12:23 PM
well, fortunately the dullest design prize is already given (Audi A4). C´mon, this is a very decent, even very good design for a compact car. you want a boring compact car example? take the glorious golf, i like the car, but you cannot say it pumps your blood up....

by racsozelev | September 2, 2008 7:50 PM
better than i expected. pure and not bad and of course not f.ing R8, cuz its not R8

by mechamynd | September 3, 2008 7:25 PM
Why compare the Megane with the R8?????

by AE86 | September 6, 2008 9:59 PM
Does Having big taillights trendy? it sucks...
