Production Chevy Volt Spotted on set of Transformers 2
The new Transformers movie is uncovering a fair few interesting models, we have already seen pictures of a superb Corvette concept believed to be part of GM's Centennial celebrations, now a video from the production set has surfaced that reveals the full styling of the new Chevy Volt.
General Motors knew full well that camera happy fans are constantly surrounded many of the production sets, so we can only assume this is part of the marketing process for the model before its full reveal.
The body profile certainly leaves much to be excited about with a four-door coupe look to it, we also see this model features what appears to be a panoramic glass roof running from the foot of the windscreen straight through to the rear hood. This kind of feature is unlikely to be featured on the full production car meaning there is a possibility we will see a pre-production model unveiled before hand – some say this could be as soon as the Paris Motor Show in October.
The pre production concept version theory is also backed up with a picture that recently surfaced of the model's interior (see image on the right). The white center panel gives the model a touch of iPod styling to it and looks so good that we find it difficult to believe it will make to to the production Volt.

Answer is: The extensive research for Lithium Ion plug-in technology from this car can be applied to other cars down the line. This car essentially pays for this milestone investment.
My only hope is this technology will fly and people will pay for plug-in capability on regular GM cars. I'm very happy GM is making this car but want to clarify that
