Ever since his big break in Brit-flick “Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels”, Jason Statham has become one of Hollywood's hardmen. During this time he has successfully played hardball Frank Martin in Transporter 1 & 2, a man who transports packages without questions whilst simultaneously getting into a heap of trouble. Now he returns for a third instalment to the film series and we can now bring you the first teaser trailer.

The Audi A8 W12 will once again play a starring role alongside Statham in the film in which he has moved his low profile business to France. It is directed by Oliver Megaton with a script penned by both Robert Mark Kamen and Luc Besson, the same two who also wrote the first and second Transporter.

i'd like better to see a M5, not an A8 with Jason Statham behind the wheel :) A8 is good car but not for action role.

by driv3r | August 26, 2008 3:08 PM
It's an S8 not an A8

by AmoKK | August 26, 2008 3:11 PM
S8 is a good car for action role :)

by AmoKK | August 26, 2008 3:21 PM
It's not an S8...it's an A8 W12

by car.fan | August 26, 2008 3:24 PM
Pause at 0.06 It's an Audi S8.

by Tumbo | September 6, 2008 6:41 PM
W12 = 2 Audi V6's combined

by car.fan | August 26, 2008 3:25 PM
thanks genious... noone said otherwise lol

by carcrazy1234 | August 26, 2008 7:39 PM
They got it wrong or rather Audi is hogging the Holiwood Movies by marketing their imaginary car abilities as those shown in the monvies.

I say the SL 65 AMG would have been HOT or better still the CLS 63 AMG.

I'am a Beemer fan but i'd rather see the Merc AMG.

by Wisp | August 26, 2008 3:33 PM
In trailer you can clearly see aluminum polished window caps. A8 W12 doesn’t have them, only S8 has them… and btw I own an 2008 S8.

Btw we can also see a pre-facelift A8 in trailer…

by AmoKK | August 26, 2008 3:34 PM
it's an A8 with S line exterior pack. why it's so hard to understand ? There is BMW 5 series 520d with M exterior pack, but it's not an M5; there is Audi A5 1.8T with S line exterior also, but it's nor S5

by driv3r | August 26, 2008 4:27 PM
You know why it's so hard to understand?? because there is no A8 with s-line package :)))) There is an A3/A4/A5 with s-line package, but there is no A8 with S-Line package... heh

by AmoKK | August 26, 2008 4:30 PM
OK, you are right and all others, including worldcarfans, are wrong :))

"The Audi A8 W12 will once again play a starring role alongside Statham in the film in which he has moved his low profile business to France"

Oh really, they are completely wrong :))

by driv3r | August 26, 2008 4:39 PM
We will see... we need here more A8/S8 fans, to prove my words:)

by AmoKK | August 26, 2008 4:49 PM
Dudes..what are you talking about. It's clearly an S8. That chromed grille and polished mirrors are ONLY for the S8. Anybody who says otherwise, is WRONG.

by Tumbo | September 6, 2008 6:36 PM
As much as I don't mind seeing the new Transporter, I think they should have left it with only the first one. the second wasn't that great and rarely is the Third any good.

Now the Short movies that BMW put out, those where fun to watch. they placed more attention the the car than the driver, which was nice to watch. so really the Transporter is a knock off the BMW films.

by dmanero | August 26, 2008 3:36 PM
It's not an S8, it's the A8 6.0 W12

by Decypha | August 26, 2008 3:37 PM
00:41 - aluminum brushed mirrors, it's an S8

by AmoKK | August 26, 2008 3:39 PM
There seems to be an S-Line package for the A8: http://www.audi.de/audi/de/de2/neuwagen/a8/a8_limousine/ausstattungsvergleich.html#package

Frankly, I don't care if it's an A8 with S-Line or S8.

by LMS | August 27, 2008 9:04 AM
hahahah it should be the new Jag XF-R (but it`s not here yet) so what about Audi RS6 Sedan

by swifthead | August 26, 2008 3:49 PM
That's a big mistake they're making. In the first part they used a BMW 7, in the second A8 and in the third it sholud have been S65 AMG. They won't use BMW any more because it doesn't look that good anymore. It's 65's turn, I thought they were saving the best for last. I hope that means there will be the forth part. But probalby it's just about money, because A8 is the cheapest of the trio. You can get two 6.0 A8 for the price of one S65 (in our country).

by 3Iceman | August 26, 2008 4:02 PM
It's an S8, the W12 has body coloured mirrors, this has the aluminum S8 mirrors.

by radmeister | August 26, 2008 4:45 PM
I am a certified Audi brand specialist. I assure you the car in the clip is an S8. The silver mirrors, wheels and chrome vertical fins in the front grill are dead giveaways.

by slee | August 26, 2008 5:10 PM
look anywhere u cant find an A8 with an S- line exterior package there is no such thing

by dk3 | August 27, 2008 12:02 AM
the W12 was shown on the previous movie, but this time they seem to swap to the S8, and yea, in some shots we can see the prefacelift a8 as well. He seem to swap cars very often ;)

by afterace2 | August 26, 2008 5:28 PM
I also think that he would look better and ease the stunts job in an M5. And the S8 is actually an W12 with 420 bhp.

by bmwaddict | August 26, 2008 5:40 PM
Ok, I'll bite but then I'm done because this is all getting pretty silly. An S8 has a 5.2L V10 with 450hp. An A8W12 has the 6.0L W12 which currently puts out 450hp. Bentley uses the twin turbo charged version of the W12 and before anyone smarts off the Bentley is "twin" turbo not "bi". And yes, the car shown coming up the alley is in fact a pre-facelift A8L but not having seen the entire movie we have no ideal how the driver came across it as I am sure the director was not trying to pass it off as a new S8.

by slee | August 26, 2008 5:59 PM
I don't care if it's an S8 or A8W12, i say the first movie was the best one, it's always the same sh*t with movies from Luc Besson, first one is great and the others are way too exagerate(cars flying, doing loopings... stuff like that) you guys have to see Taxi(great french (car)film from Besson)and you see that the first one was superb, and the others where trash, and the same is happening with the transporter.

by mc959 | August 26, 2008 6:08 PM
C´mon you guys, this is off course an Audi S8!!... By the way, nice car you drive, AmoKK

by Paulds | August 26, 2008 7:15 PM
Thank you :)

by AmoKK | August 26, 2008 9:02 PM
@slee It clearly is a FACELIFT S8. S8 because: grill, mirrors. Facelift because: Blinkers integrated in mirrors, fog lamps in front bumper are square. What i couldnt see 100%: inside pictures, wheres the carbon ? And wheels: no standard wheels, some kinda chrome wheels on it.

by Zaskar | August 26, 2008 7:22 PM
Actually in S8 carbon fiber is stock, but you can order one with a regular wood... there are many options in audi exclusive package

by AmoKK | August 26, 2008 9:01 PM
neither A8 nor S8 it looks just like R8

by eas722 | August 26, 2008 7:57 PM
stop wearing the joke out

by kevoluetion | August 27, 2008 10:03 AM
I "love" the "action shot" of him shifting "into gear" on an automatic! LAME!

by ShinyG | August 26, 2008 11:07 PM
I think the BMX bike is a Mongoose, it has black handlebar grips...

by ouzoholic | August 26, 2008 11:42 PM
@ShinyG they got tiptronic, so u got automatic & manual.....

by mc959 | August 26, 2008 11:44 PM
@ouzoholic, your funny!!! after a discussion about the car, u gonna start one about the bike, well i think it's a Giant....lol

by mc959 | August 26, 2008 11:49 PM
@amokk i know carbon is stock .. but who in the world would order wood trim over carbon fiber?? ;)

hey ... we could discuss about what phone the guy is holding in the spot, too ... ;-)

by Zaskar | August 27, 2008 12:57 AM
it can be ferrari or something like that .not a A8...

by turkey | August 27, 2008 2:29 AM
oh yeah, he will put all the stuff he carry in a big nice ferrari trunk

by AmoKK | August 27, 2008 6:51 AM
Doesn't suit his character

by kevoluetion | August 27, 2008 10:04 AM
Nice choice! Audi in the 2nd time...wow!

by kevoluetion | August 27, 2008 4:23 AM
Hey guys, THIS IS A MOVIE, there all is possible :)) S8 looks much better than regular A8 and can attract much more buyers in the future with such a commercial video :) Maybe after "Transporter 3" we will see A8 W12 with S line exterior package because of huge demand.

by driv3r | August 27, 2008 8:56 AM
look at the specs of S8 and A8 W12

by AmoKK | August 27, 2008 9:08 AM
Maybe it's a A8W12, and when he press a button it becomes a S8!!!!

by mc959 | August 27, 2008 10:10 AM
Haha...all this talk about S8/A8..... I am looking forward to the 3rd movie! I loved the first two!

by The_woo_factor | August 27, 2008 12:15 PM
They're obviously using the A8 because it's more of a livery kind of car. I can't imagine a SL65 AMG pulling up to drive me to the airport. In both movie one and two they tried to portray a private "car service" kind of thing.

by Meeshka | August 28, 2008 6:05 PM
Jason ... quit fiddling with that BMX bike and get yourself a man - sized vehicle , eh ? :} :} :}

by THERENAISSANCEMAN | August 28, 2008 9:10 PM
Any of you guyz even have an Audi?

by Franko | August 29, 2008 1:42 PM
Jason Statham is this generations' Steven Seagal. Statham really needs to star in a 3D movie so he'll finally has some depth in his work.

by sensei | August 31, 2008 5:35 AM
for all the idiots that are arguing if its a8 or s8. its clearly a8. if you dont believe, look at the french audi website. it even has the movie clip on there and says clearly A8. also try imcdb.org which is a database for cars played in movies. and there omgg it says a8. ITS CLEARLY BLOODY A8 AND IM SURE WCF WILL NOT GET IT WRONG.

by e36mmm | August 31, 2008 8:50 PM
The car in the movie is an S8. I have a 2007 S8 silver. De-tuned V10 Lambo 5.2 liter. I have the carbon fiber interior and for my 2007(1st yr for new S8 in the US) it was a cheap option. Very cheap to what Porsche would charge. It is a standard wheelbase. No S8 in long wheelbase like the W12 in last movie. Definitely a very fast (speeding ticket 1st day) driver's car. Cheapest Supercar around. Only 300 per year in US. Audi/VW is taking movies by storm: Hitman(audi s5,s4,Q7). Ironman (R8, S5, Q7), Transporter 2 (W12), Transporter 3 (S8).

by RJ | September 25, 2008 10:00 PM
I think the AMG S65 comment is funny. A8 cost 85K USD. S550 costs 88K USD. S8 with Lambo Gallardo engine costs 100K. Last time i looked the Lambo costs 200k. Why would someone pay an additional 100k USD for the bigger S65?? If for showing off you are wasting your $$ as the S8 has all the ferrari and aston drivers doing head takes when they go by.
