We have now become accustomed with the fact that when the EU Trademark office leaks models designs out, it will always come in twos. Earlier we treated you to the first images of the production Seat Tribu SUV, now we can bring you some revealing and controversial styling details of the brand new Exeo in both sedan and estate body styles.

The controversy surrounding these leaked images are the blatant styling queues drawn from the Audi range and in particular the A4. Obviously, these design drawings are at the very early stages of development, but seeing as the styling is being trademarked, we shouldn't expect too many changes from what we saw before us.

The new D-segment model will be launched in 2009 and will sit alongside rather than replace the current Toledo. The name follows the brand's Mediterranean roots, it comes from the Latin word “Exire” which means “to go beyond” or “to go further”. It differs from the names of the other models in the Seat range but signals a new direction for the automaker.

A European worldwide debut is certain, the Paris Motor Show in November could come a little too soon for the model, so we may have to wait until Geneva next year or perhaps even Seat's home show in Barcelona at the end of May.

'Rebadged A4'- Just what I thought. Ripoff artists...

Don't forget that Seat is a member of VW Group.

eas722 that might be true but they still dont have to use an old a4, now thats just abit slack by the artist...

Doesn't make sense. If it were a second or third world project, then maybe, but Seat aren't really represented much outside of Western Europe. Style doesn't fit with Seat's themes of the last few years either.

yes..i think, i think it is coming. a new expression will be born amongst WCF users, just like the one with "it looks like an r8". and this new say will be... "IT LOOKS LIKE AN A4" !!!!! =))))))

Still looks like an R8... :)

Of course it looks like an A4, it's the previous generation A4 with a new front and back. This kind of recycling is lame, even by VW standards. I remember the previous generation Passat was based on the same car, but did not share any bodywork with it.

if you look at it from the back foward, it looks alrite, until you reach the front from the bumper to the start of the wheel arches. lights-bad

while the previous gen A4 is generally a great car, and taking it's platform is not a bad idea, this lacks the seats side flares from Seats all the other models, and doesn't remind a seat at all. They should have reworked this a little bit more.

Good way of cutting costs.

Boring boring boring design

We all know that VAG shares platforms, parts, engines, components etc...but this is taking it a bit too far.

Is this the trickle down theory at work? If I were an Audi owner I'd be offended that my car is being rebadged as a Seat. If I were a Seat owner I'd be offended too because I get to drive hand me downs from the bit more well off relative.

Oh Guys,....

SEAT isnt earning money at the moment... So SEAT hast to sell cars first, before developing new big types... And if the car will be selling well, SEAT will going to develop its own EXEO II.... I think, the Design is not soo bad as many posters write, its ok, and this car will be a good alternative to other sedans, like Mondeo or whatever...

All in all, this car is a cheap chance for SEAT, for writing black Numbers again....

P.S: Sorry for mistakes, but as you can see/read, its not my language....

Good night!
