New 2011 Porsche Cayenne Spied Low Riding

Summer time means back to the desert for auto manufacturers, as they get the chance to bake their cars in the searing American desert heat.

All the way from Porsche Cars North American headquarters in Georgia, this second generation Cayenne prototype is getting its systems tested, particularly its electronically controlled pneumatic air suspension, as we can see from the photos the Cayenne is riding very low.

With the Porsche Cayenne hybrid expected to arriver in 2009, the new generation will follow in late 2010.

This one is "low-riding" because the trunk is full of dead people who succumbed upon seeing the useless monstrosity!

Actually, when you think about it, the only people who will be purchasing this vehicle will be the ones that don't care about gas prices. That makes a lot of sense when you're not marketing it towards the average Joe's of the world. I bet Porsche will sell them with no problems too. I wish they would've done something with those huge tail lights though.

They are probably testing the sports mode in the cayene, or probably the sport version for a low centre of gravity. so expect the entry levels to be higher

making the cayenne low riding kinda defeats the purpose of it... it is supposed to be an SUV and not a sports coupe

Who cares...its better for aerodynamics...besides except for REAL jeep buyers, nobody goes off-roading, H2 buyers do as well. But not many others.

If they manage to lose at least 10% off the current generation's weight and size, this could be a very exciting SUV. It wont need to pretend to be a sports car
