Just in case you missed WCFs previous installments of the Jaguar XK facelift spy photos here, here, and here – we thought it would be good to post the topic one more time for the sake of being thorough.

A long way from Jag USA headquarters in Mahway, New Jersey, this prototype was caught by photographers in the US desert performing hot weather testing.

Set for its debut at the Paris Motor Show in October, the new feline will go on sale early next year and feature a new front bumper with restyled air intakes, plus a slightly restyled rear bumper and LED taillights. Lastly, the new shark fin antenna seen in these photos on the boot lid replaces the retractable power antenna.

Mechanical updates include a stiffened suspension and quicker steering while the interior receives Jaguar’s new drive-select transmission interface already seen in the XF sedan.

Purrrr...

I like this beauty. Any new technology going into it, aside from what is already mentioned?

Cheers!

It looks like my grandpa's Buick. Need "room" for grocery's or golf clubs anyone? Problems: It's over sized, boring, heavy, uninspiring been-there-done-that Fordish styling, obviously targeted at older customers and, if history has anything to say, it should be way behind the competition.

Oh wait a minute! Did they just say "the new shark fin antenna?" Omg, no they didn't! Guess I had it all wrong about these guys... shark fin's... cool... if you're 60!

BOLLUX!! Jaguar beats the manufacturers you just mentioned in your post mate! :) But then again, when they were their own company, they were wonderful. But they still make spiffy automobiles!

Cheers!

RobERob, your critique seems biased unless you have it out for all cars in this class. I'm sure what you're comparing its weight to, but the coupe is 3671 lbs versus the 650i (3814) and Maser GT (4220), whereas the convertible is 3900 lbs versus the SL550's 4220.

Well, Jaguar have more resources now especially financial with their new owners, so I see them growing into making newer and better engines and suspension quality in the near future, interior is already great.

Wow, how ignorant are you? First off, this doesn't look like any current or past Buick. Maybe you should get your eyes checked because it's safe to consider you legally blind. Second, this is a VERY light car. It is one of the few cars/SUVs out there being made with an Aluminum body. Finally, it actually bests it's competition. It has beat out the 6 series and Maseratti GrandTurismo in various publications. The only problem is that both me-too(ex.oh you have one, me too) cars(bmw+Maseratti) come to mind when the average close-minded consumer(like you) are shopping for a Lux-Tourer.

Only 4 seater AM Vantage V8, like old model was, is able to beat XK, no anybody else.

Well, it's my general opinion and I'm entitled to it. This is a very tame looking Jaguar that does, in many ways, resemble a BUICK; that right, I said it! As a kid, I grew up adoring this brand. When you saw a Jaguar on the street, you knew it was a Jaguar! Nothing else looked like it. However, over the years, it lost it's identity by failing to preserve it's image or build on it's heritage. Not only that but where was the competitiveness? You're damn right I'm being bias because I don't feel this should be the face of a once great car company!!! A Jag should look fast, sleek, and beautiful with gratifying curves in just the right places. This thing looks down right odd! In fact, I'm even a little disgusted by it.

And why would there even be an "average close-minded' consumer? They must know something that you obviously don't. What do you think would cause that to happen? Could it be brand loyalty? Could it be depending on the elderly to line their pockets for so many years? Maybe it's something I call lost credibility? Irregardless how light you might say it is, why does Jaguar always finish last? Perhaps those "publications" are "close-minded" as well.

Trust me, this car is a head turner, it looks way bigger in real life than in photos, Black looks better than silver too, so dont judge from photos, if you actually see one drive by on the street you'll notice why its so expensive.

The cars are nice looking, but interior quality is sub-par, and vehicle dynamics are at the bottom of its class. Hopefully, this new "mid-cycle-freshening" will do wonders.

Xf interior is pretty sweet, something like that in the new xk would be mad.
