First 2011 BMW X3 Prototype Caught Out in the Open
The BMW X3 has been on the market since 2003 with a midlife facelift in 2006 and now we can bring you the first spy photos of the all new model which is set to be introduced in 2011.
If you can ignore the annoying camoflage, we can see that the dimensions and overall shape of the vehicle will be largely unchanged from the current generation. A more prominent grille and wrap around lights should feature and we are also likely to see some CS concept inspired design elements.
The engine lineup is likely to see the introduction of the 335i's twin-turbo 3.0-liter pretol engine as well as the 204-hp 2.0-litre turbodiesel. Rumours also state we could see a hybrid version further down the line.
Production of the X3 will be moved to BMW’s Spartanburg plant in the U.S. where it will be built alongside the new X6 and X5.
