Leaked Design Shapes of Megane III and Scenic?

This September we can expect the French manufacturers to go crazy for their home show in Paris, in the case of Renault we will see the unveiling of the all new Megane III. First in line is the coupe, five-door hatch and MPV (Scenic) body styles with the three-door hatch, sedan, convertible and estate to follow in the not too distant future.

An insight may have been presented to us in the form of these early stage renderings of the Megane III and Scenic which have been uncovered by forum site autopareri.com. There are no indications of how official these renderings may be, but when studying them against previous spy photos and leaks, the attention to detail appears to be accurate.

The technical details under the hood have so far evaded the media leading us to believe there is unlikely to be too much innovation found in this area. There are rumours that the current 1.4 liter engine will be replaced with the turbo-charged 1.2 liter engine from the Clio and we will possibly see a bit of emission busting tuning from the Renault engineers.

The Megane will be fighting for supremacy in the C-segment with the VW Golf MkVI which is also released in Paris and it will also have to face strong challenges from the likes of the upcoming Mazda3, Ford Focus and Opel Astra.

It seems the definitive design built in a 1:1 scale. It looks very nice, specially the coupe.

looks really nice, but the front design is copied by the former opel gtc concept and opel flextreme.

If you start with the last picture, and work your way back to the first, it shows a good progression of how modern car companies bring concept cars into production. With the latest exception to that rule being the dodge challenger.

Doesn't do it for me... to me it just looks like a blob of car...

The 3dr hatchback is a bit more interesting though.

No! C-pillar is different too.

great renderings. I like the ideas for the Megane, the Scenic looks a bit undecided how it want to look like. And about the coupé: this c-pillar is very close to b-pillar. I can expact, that fondpassangers can't see anything out of the sidewindows..
