Things are starting to heat up as the British Motor Show approaches closer. After an official teaser image at the end of last year, an unofficial leak and official spy teaser images for the much anticipated rally inspired Focus RS, German magazine Autozeitung brings us the latest installation of six hi-resolution leaked images showing more detail and again in that neon green.
Despite Ford stating the Focus RS would use the same turbocharged Duratec 2.5-litre five cylinder in the 225 PS Focus ST, however, optimized to generate over 280PS and more than 400 Nm of torque, Autozeitung reports it being 300 PS and 410 Nm. Also, a limited slip differential will delegate power flow to the front wheel drive RS.

where do u live exactly (meeshka)?? seriously if your gonna say anything, the sti looks like THIS, not the other way around. this is a euro spec ford focus (hense the rear lights, which are much different from the north american focus), and this body design has been around a bit longer than the new wrx we see now.

FWD, why oh why? ;( An AWD solution would have been in the same segment with cars like the Mitsubishi EVO and the Subaru Impreza WRX STI... Now it's in the "hot hatch" class with VW Golf GTI and such, although it has a lot more power than the other hot hatches.

Andy why does everyone have a downer on FWD over 4WD? What you really mean is it should be RWD. FWD can easilt handle 300bhp these days - a decision for 4WD is normally a marketing one.

It's not stupid mate, it's bonkers! How else should an insane focus with 225BHP and front wheel drive look?

i am willing to bet that the reason it isn't awd is because of the platform that it is built on. I probably won't support a AWD or RWD vehicle.

So, is this the real Focus RS then, or is it another stupid speculation
