Supercharged Dodge Challenger Coming to SEMA
Coming this November will be the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show and if sources at Insideline are correct we could be treated with a supercharged version of the Dodge Challenger. The current range topping limited edition SRT8 version pumps out 425 horsepower, but the addition of a Mopar developed supercharger could see this figure boosted past 500 horsepower giving the Chrysler group a model to compete with the Ford Shelby GT500.
A supercharger kit has already been completed by tuners Speedfactory which pumps 630 horspower out of the 6.1-liter Hemi V8 engine, giving us a glimpse of its potential.
Along with the power upgrade the 2009 Challenger will get a cold-air intake and high-flow cat-back exhaust system. Exterior will get some serious tuner treatment resulting a quite a mouthwatering ride which will include a new set of rims and possibly a road hugging body kit.
i would also go with the challenger on this one, it looks nicer
Y would they make the steering wheel 4 spoke instead of 3. 4 spoke makes u feel like ur driving a boring big car...
hmm, so what would a supercharged version of a srt car be called? The Dodge Challenger SRX8?
this is a joke... the big us automakers are losing money at record pace and they keep bringing out junk like this. what gives? its not rocket science... build decent cars (quality, small, practical, nice looking) and you will make money. its sad to see this as its painfully clear that the people running these companies are dinosaurs who just dont yet realize that their time is up. hopefully someone will before they join companies like triumph on the sidelines.
...this is a great car batko...i am loving this car

i'd take this over the shelby. Also, that engine bay is so ugly lol they should remove that engine cover thing.
