Tata owned Land Rover are readying a facelift for the Range Rover Sport and these latest shots caught by our spy photographer proves we are about to see some minor styling modifications as well as some interesting work under the hood.

The current Range Rover Sport is powered by a 4.2-liter Supercharged engine, but hiding beneath the skin of this new prototype is a new 5.0-liter V8 diesel engine which is rumoured to be equiped with a supercharger and direct injection. The exterior modifications are kept to minimum with a slightly narrower grille with only two horizontal bars and modified air in takes in the wings.

There is no word yet on when we are likely to see the new model launched but with Land Rover's home motor show in London just over a month away, we would expect this to be a likely destination for its unveiling.
