2010 BMW Z4 Spy Video

Just a couple of weeks a go BMW revealed the surprise BMW GINA Light Invisionary Concept, a model which is said to act as the styling inspiration for the all new BMW Z4. Should this be the case we can see yet another BMW model taking the world by storm and now you have another chance to see one of the prototypes in action with this new video taken by our spies at Nurburgring.

The styling is clearly not as extravagant as the GINA concept (we doubt the panels are made of cloth either) but there are clear design lines which evidently shows the concept's styling. Take the design lines on the hood which flow eloquently to the side panels for instance not to mention the grille and newly styled headlights. The rear is of course quite different but what do you expect when the concept's lights get hidden behind the cloth layer?

Whereas the current generation comes as a soft-top convertible, the new 2010 model will get a hard-top following in line with the new BMW 3-Series Convertible. The model series will be accompanied by the Coupe version as well as the Z4 M which should get the M3's new award winning 4.0 liter V8 under the hood.

The New Z4 is likely to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next year ready for it to hit dealerships later on in the year.

Looks/sounds like this could be the replacement for the now aging M coupe and Roadster.

The GINA ist not the styling inspiration of the new Z4. In fact the GINA was built in 2001 and because of that it already had the lines of the actual model E85.

The new Z4 in the spy photos and the video is most likely powered by BMW's 3.0 liter bi-turbo inline-6.

Heck, it is a circular question about Gina, new Z4 and for that matter the old Z4. They all look about the same. Which chicken was hatched first, big mundane question. They all look like the same hen laid the eggs. Bangle has turned into his own insolent, self enlightened cheerleader. Go back to cows in Wisconsin, Chris, they don't lay eggs.

It sounds so good! It sure has some of the GINA's DNA

its a very evolutionary step forward from the current Z4.

Well the "flamey" thing has blown to a different position on the fender. It looks even more like a tack-on, gimmick. That's about all I see in the evolution. This style theme has always been awkward, not it is just awkward and stale. Porsche must love seeing this miscue.

the rims look like 19's at least on the car, yeah i would have to agree with you AG4, it would make sense for the M Z4 to have that engine or totally a new level on top of the current 3.0 LTR 6 cylinder, it would be cool to have a MZ4 with the new M3 V8 engine, it would give the Merc SLK and Porsche Boxster something to think about. the styling of it has a mixed of old and GINA to me
