Updated Bumblebee & Mystery Supercar for Transformers Sequel
The success of the 2007 blockbuster Transformers was always bound to be followed by a sequel and next summer we will see the 2nd instalment titled “Revenge of the Fallen”. The new film will see the return of main characters including Shia LaBeouf and the Megan Fox along with some of our favourite autobots. Now an unofficial Transformers 2 blog has obtained some photos of the production set of the movie revealing an updated look for Bumblebee based on the Chevrolet Camaro and a glimpse of another as yet unidentified car.
If you remember from the first film Bumblebee wasn't quite himself at the end after receiving quite a battering from Megatron, so of course the autobot needed some rebuilding. Looking at these photos we can see Bumblebee gets an additional air intake on the hood and a lower front spoiler, suggesting the autobot gets updated to the high-spec SS version for the sequel.
Also appearing in the film will be a host of new vehicles including the Hummer HX Concept and the Chrevrolet Beat, but one photo of an this unidentified supercar caught on the set really took our fancy. There have been suggestions that it could be a corvette but the curvaceous profile of the vehicle looks very conceptish, comment below if you think you know what it is.
The 'concept' car could be the new acura (honda) nsx. Though the car does have a very sporty profile.
Only GM cars in these films. Looks like corvette proportions but whith more concept design cues.
i dont know what that mystery car is, (maybe the next corvette) but i like it so far.
I think it would be a modified version of Corvette, or it is the C7 Concept. Making debut in Transformers II is not a bad idea for promoting the C7 Corvette.
Its Bumblebee, not bumbleee. Its looks more agressive with exterior updates.
...I hope it's the next generation vette/ZR1...but considering the Camaro's appearance in the movie it also might be the next gen Firebird...
Cronan, if you don't recall they used a mustang in the last film so other brands aren't out of the question, though I doubt it is the new NSX.
Hm Intersting. According to the movie Tranformers have to scan a car to transform Where did they get those concept cars to scan?
The supercar looks like the new BMW Proto just shown
being all GM cars, must be a corvette concept or something like that.... or perhaps it's a baddie using another brand? (like the mustang Barricade)

it appears to be a 2 door car so i dont think it is a the fisker
I think it's just another camaro, look at the side and the mirrors, just like the orange/yellow one....

it may be a new chevrolet corvette it deffinately looks like one. remember the hummer H2 search n rescure car in the fist movie was custom made for the movie so maybe this could be a corvette concept car and it may even be the C7 corvette

Saab Aero X, slightly modified from the original concept, probably a more production ready version. This was also rumoured to be in the movie on the same site.
not so sure bout that the Aero X was meant to have a canopy so that everything from the A pillar to the C pillar lifts up like a jet fighter kinda thing
It's the pimp version of bumblebee lol. Chop top, chrome paint. Either that or the C7, as said above. Or it could be Bumblebee's friend. =P

I was thinking they may have made a more production ready version. The canopy on the original Aero X is a little much for production standards. Can we agree it at least shares the same platform as a possible C7 or camaro?
