The BMW GINA Light Visionary Concept car was unveiled earlier this week after an initial teaser video was released to great applause from the world's media. The design shows a striking resemblance to the BMW Z series and we could possibly be looking at a preview of the upcoming Z4, although that is not what this concept is all about. The body of the concept is made from cloth which is wrapped around moving metal wires that are controlled by eletro-hydraulic devices allowing the model to change shape and also hides the inactive features of the car when they are not in use such as the headlights.

The GINA (Geometry and Functions In N Adaptions) is now shown in full detail in a new set of videos released by the German automaker which we have kindly put together for your enjoyment. Should you wish to see the model in more detail, why not check out the photo gallery with 113 high-res photos?

You can see more details on the technological side of the model here.

A regular bodied version of GINA would make for a very sexxy Z8 replacement with the V10 of course :)

Ok I have to say it.... seeing the name GINA, then watching the video and the "hood" opening a certain way exposing the "engine" just about put me in tears laughing. Unfortunately the similarity to a woman is striking if you know what I mean. Yes I may be immature I know but it feels good to laugh so hard.
