For 15 years Caterham has been running special CDX (Caterham Driving Experience) in the UK and across Europe giving the average-joe the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the superb “Seven” on a variety of courses including slalom, drift and circuit. Now as a little extra, the UK marque has released a new high-spec special edition of the model that will be limited to a production run of just 20 units.

The Caterham Seven CDX will benefit from over £2000 worth of extras with the highlight being a tuned version of the K-Series powerplant which was recently replaced by 1.6-liter Ford sigma engine. Power output for the special edition now stands at 135bhp and is further complemented with a limited-slip differential and track day roll-over bar. Other features include 13'' superlight alloy wheels, a gloss lack exterior finish with a decal kit reflecting the real CDX cars and a push button engine start.

The limited edition model is available from £17,495 in component form or can also be obtained factory built for £20,495.
