2010 Nissan 240SX/Silvia Teaser Image Leaked?

Earlier this year Nissan held the GT 2012 event in which they outlined their medium-term management plan, we have already seen a couple of teaser images leak out from the event including the 370Z and the Nissan Cube EV, now it appears a third image has leaked out of an all new model the Japanese manufacturer is working on.

Speculations have stated that Nissan have been working on small RWD coupe for more than three years with the underpinnings set to come courtesy of a shortened version of the Z's FM platform. The new model will be a direct competitor for the Toyota/Subaru RWD Coupe which is currently in development and it is expected to win the race to the market by a full year. Although there have been no spottings or any styling indications of what the model may look like, the surfacing of this leaked image draws us to this conclusion that this could well be the next generation 240SX/Silvia.

Alternatively, we could well be looking at something totally different, the thick B-pillar and small rear three-quater window point towards the possibility this is a four-door – perhaps Nissan is looking to be the first Japanese manufacturer to enter the much sought after four-door coupe market?

no it does not!!!what are u looking at!... but it makes me think where does this leave the new Z! i mean i am a bigger fan of the 240 then the Z and i know many people who will say the same that means Z does not stand a very good chance of selling... i mean if u underpower this its too eww and over power it then its a problem for the GTR so that leaves the middle and thats where the Z is!!

Agreed! Nissan needs to twin-turbo the Z, just like the old 300ZX, get it up around 285-300kw; and then bring back the 240/200sx and make an entry level 190kw spec model and a specR - 220kw model. Just my thoughts, if anyone is listening........Nissan!

I don't think they will go with so much power. Probably around 300 hp, combined with good technology and handling should be enough.

That picture looks like a 4 door 350z, the rear quarter panels and taillights are right off of the 350z. Nissan aimed at Porsche with the GT-R, so maybe they are aiming at the Panamera with this and will create a 4 door coupe based on the 350z.

personally i would like nissan to bring out a new silvia but i dont think this is it. if anything its definitely a 4 door family car. hopefully its a replacement for the dreadfully marketed (in the uk at least) Primera. they need a player in this segment desperatley.
