Sean Wolfe from Ohio, U.S.A., struck it rich when he spied the newest entry from Acura – the upcoming TL. Months ahead of its autumn debut, we caught the 4th generation Acura TL out and about. Although based on Honda’s Accord, this is still very big news for Acura enthusiasts. Information trickled out after a recent dealer’s meeting in New Orleans regarding the two versions of the upcoming TL: a 280-bhp front-wheel drive model with a 3.5-litre V6 and an SH-AWD version with an engine choice of either the 3.5-liter V6, or a 3.7-liter V6 with 300 horsepower.  The new TL is expected to debut before the end of the year, most likely at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

From what I can see through the camo I think I like the overall rear of the car, despite being a little too Lexus GS-inspired. But that front end...even with the camo, is so Camry in its shape and proportions that it comes off thick and heavy and unbalances the shape of the car from any angle where you see both the front and rear for comparison. Hopefully when properly undressed and with finished wheel and suspension setups it wont look as bad.

For now, just "eh".

Acuras new "buck-tooth" corporate grille is hideous. Why do they think it looks good? It didn't look good or generate positive consumer response on 2006's Acura Advanced Sedan Concept, and it doesn't look good on production cars now.

This new TL makes the current RL look dated.
