The good people at NihonCar.com have posted a scan of Japan's CarTop magazine showing a supposed Impreza WRX STi Spec C completely undisguised. The previous GD chassis WRX STi Spec C which was available in limited numbers for Asia, Oceania and Europe is distinguished by a slight weight reduction, minor engine tweaks, quicker steering ratio and stiffer suspension settings. If and when the Spec C hits the market, it's expected to have close to 300hp.

"If and when the Spec C hits the market, it's expected to have close to 300hp" Maybe more than 300hp... The 2008 JDM Impreza WRX STI produces 308PS (304hp or 227kW).

It should offer a bit more horsepower than 308...but imagine it should have a healthy amount of weight dropped off like earlier versions.

The standard STI comes in Oz with 221kw (295hp), so are you saying that it's going to have an extra 5hp and be called a Spec C? What's 'C' stand for then... "Close" (to standard) LOL

Spec doesn't need to be more powerful. It's about being lighter and handle better (stiffer suspension etc.)
