The tuning scene is booming in Europe, the USA and Japan, with more and more tuning companies as a result but few are regarded as highly as Porsche specialists Gemballa. Today the German tuning house bursts onto the scene with a 600 bhp Porsche GT2 (or Porsche 997 Turbo) conversion that can hold its own with the Maranello and Sant'Agata-Bolognese in-crowd.

Gemballa has a few tweeks in store for your unsuspecting GT2 or 997 Turbo like a power kit that will boost power to 600 bhpn (442 kW) with 840 Nm of torque, body kit, sports exhaust, coilover suspension, 20 inch 'Racing' wheels and a luxurious interior. The new power can propel the car from stand still to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.

The body kit consists of the Avalanche body kit, a GT hood, Avalanche front skirt with additional cooling openings, GT2 front spoiler lip, GTR EVO tailgate skirt with diffuser and hot air outlets and GT2 EVO rear spoiler. All in all, the car looks fast even when standing still.

Of course power is nothing without control, so Gemballa also fits a variable ride height coilover suspension and a performance brake system with 380/350 mm or 405/380 discs. Inside you will find plenty of aluminum details, sports steering wheel (F1 shift paddles optional) and a leather interior overhaul if your donor vehicle didn't have it already. But if you have something else in mind, Gemballa will be happy to cater to your fancies.

how about that... a Porsche 911 appearing almost like a flattened VW Beetle up front. wish that it also had the Bug's frugal gas - burning characteristics.oops! wrong tuning company

wonder what inspired Uwe to paint his company's creation in this scheme ... the local Sheriff's Office perhaps? hahahaa , just perfect for those high-speed chases/arrests !

Personally i like the 997 front end..its classic..and of course there is a slight similarity to the Beetle, you are aware Ferdinand Porsche designed the original beetle right? Nonetheless though, it doesnt look that much like a Beetle.

Anyway, between Ruf and Gemballa cant be sure which tuner is better

Ahh. I thought he did- or at least that he based his designs on the Beetle... But yeah I agree with you- it looks way different from a Beetle

I was gona say RUF is better but then I remembered the one Carrera GT by Gemballa, the Black Mirage or something like that. That thing was pretty topz

NONE IS BETTER.. Stock cars are always better.. Every aspect is "exactly" matching the other.. Thats why they spend years in development.. To make them as best as possible.

Technically a Ruf is "stock"....they have certification from the german government granting them the status of a fully fledged auto-manufacturer due to how COMPLETE their job is ;) ....Ruf isn't just some lame Porsche Tuner

You're confusing this with some half-assed body-paint-job 50% discount.

LOVE IT ... quite possibly the best Porsche adaptation EVER ... 10 out of 10 for the paint job ... it has a real "WOW" factor compared to a standard factory 911
