The current generation Ferrari F430 succeeded the 360 back in 2004 and since then we have seen special versions created including the F430 Scuderia which was unveiled by Michael Schumacher at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show. Having been on the market now for four years and taking into account its predecessor's life span was six years, we can only assume the Italians have development well under way for a replacement. Obviously at this point we have no idea what the future may bring, but that hasn't stopped Italian designer Luca Serafini from producing a number of other quit stunning renderings of a concept of what the successor to the F430 may look like.

The design follows Luca's tried and tested process: Brainstorming - sketches - modelling – concept. “Feeling the need to replace the 430, i started looking closer the classic Ferrari models.  It was important for me to reach in the new concept a path through the past,” commented Luca.

The next step for the Italian Designer is to create 1:4 scale model and judging by these renderings we can only hope someone in Ferrari is watching, you can check out some more of his work at his deviantART home page here.

Absolutely stunning! Ferrari I hope you're watching... and eventually build it.

It's a Maserati Granturismo! No, no, no....

by Remi610 | May 15, 2008 10:50 AM
Yes, this would suit a Maserati badge more. It's not very forward looking, is it? Ferrari is about innovation and they have already revealed they have assessed weight saving measures and even 2-stroke engines for the future. There is no way they would wrap such technology is such dowdy, old-fashioned clothes.

by mps | May 15, 2008 12:24 PM
no ofence but there has been alot of photoshopd pics on wc that have lookd like an r8 but this1 doesnt... but i also do see alot of maseratti in this

by BabyMilo | May 15, 2008 1:12 PM
Ok. Let me put it clear for you: Every concept people see here, they almost immediatly conclude it has the looks of an R8, which is starting to get silly at this point. Therefor I was joking, saying this also looks like an R8, when it obviously doesn't.

actually, have anyone noticed how much it looks like a corvette???

by bakrione | May 15, 2008 12:29 PM
Exactly, the C pilars and the shoulder lines are all too similar. Regardless, its a good looking car.

by 122 | May 15, 2008 2:56 PM
just try replacing that prancing horse grill emblem with a trident then this car could easily be mistaken for a Maserati.

by THERENAISSANCEMAN | May 15, 2008 1:22 PM
Its ok. This looks more like an American muscle car.... where is the grace and style?

by The_woo_factor | May 15, 2008 1:34 PM
It's got a very heavy presence and the ugliest rear end ever. This kinda concept could've been accepted in the time when P4 came out. I really wonder how they got to this kinda design rendering from recent Ferrari... A bit strange...

by samuelzeus | May 15, 2008 2:02 PM
It looks a lot like the Saleen Raptor concept..

by NitrousOxide | May 15, 2008 2:16 PM
Looks nothing like Ferrari...To design a car you must know the history of a vehicle and its current line up. This doesn't do either...hot rendering just not ferrari worthy

by foose1397 | May 15, 2008 3:06 PM
front end looks amazing, just doesnt look like a ferrari. rear end needs some work though.

by omarb07 | May 15, 2008 3:56 PM
and the front end does kinda look like a maserati gt

by omarb07 | May 15, 2008 3:58 PM
This is not a Ferrari. It looks like a Corvette had a one night stand with a ricer and a Maserati.

by JohnnyG | May 15, 2008 5:08 PM
Not cool

by saint_dracula | May 15, 2008 5:17 PM
Hopefully next gen will be not that "cool" with this huge front engine retrograde cooling grill. Pretty blunt idea.

...and more, what is wrong with semiotics or rather design language of 360 Modena or F430. Do somebody really think that is dead end or worn out some way. No, beautiful cars and best possible way to go forward. Even better than Maranello-Fiorano design finally. These V8 models are most beautiful Ferraris ever made I'm afraid.

Definately not a Ferrari. Looks too Jap

by Scuderia | May 15, 2008 9:24 PM
vett,mazda,R8 ...assh***s its a clasi italian syle as the 8C or maserati, nice look

by _M7_ | May 15, 2008 10:46 PM
how it can be considered pretty? Alfa 8C is awful in the same way. Remember good old Ferraris? F40, Testarossa, they were classy.

by kimbo | May 16, 2008 12:18 AM
How come noone has noticed this looks more like a front-engined car? Yeah, as some have stated, nice rendering but lacking Ferrari DNA... nonetheless, after seeing the California, this looks like a jewel!

by ck314 | May 16, 2008 1:54 AM
To me this looks like a 2 door version of the Fisker Karma.

by radmeister | May 16, 2008 2:37 AM
Great lines but I would like this car on a low carb diet. Less bulk - more eligence. Definitely a Fisker Karma look alike.
