What was clear from internet rumors has finally been confirmed by Peugeot's Director General Mr Jean-Philippe Collin at the Lisbon Motor Show today, the Peugeot RC-Z Concept will indeed go into full production.

The final production model will make its grand world debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, two years after the concept car saw the light of day. The Peugeot RC-Z Concept was received with great enthusiasm and has convinced the marque's decision makers to stay as true to the concept as possible, meaning that they will move away from the traditional look of their coupes.

The RC-Z is one of the first results of Peugeot's CAP 2010 competitive premium strategy. Sales of the 308 RC Z, as it is based on the 308 platform but the name has not been confirmed, are supposed to start in the spring of 2010.

Looks pretty cool... when was the last Peugoet sportscar? not a saloon based coupe like the gorgeous 406 and 407 coupes but a genuine sportscar?

The aggresive styling combined with the unique back make it a stunning car for the price level of a full spec Golf. Comparing it with a TT is a nonsense, Audi is charging way much more money than Peugeot will ever dare to ask. I love Audis, think that TT is worth that money too but that won't change my opinion that this particular Pug looks cool!

do you really not see how the back end is a total rip off of the audi tt styling?

by rcup | April 26, 2008 1:38 AM
every one is attacking this car for being peugeot! you have to admit that this design is stunning, i dont know why most say that is a copy of TT , off course they have the same body style because its meant to be a competitor to the TT.. i saw a lot of reviews and test drives on this car, and its getting great critiques and comments, and still not finished...and more fun to drive than Audi
