Volkswagen Lavida Surfaces (Ch)
Volkswagen is popular in China, setting new sales records every year. Reason enough for Volkswagen to develop China-only cars. Volkswagen first showed the Neeza Concept at the 2006 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.
This year at the 2008 Auto China show in Beijing Volkswagen will have two world debuts. The first will be the Volkswagen Lavida, a sedan based on the previous-generation A4 platform with high end interior, hence the Mini Phaeton nickname. The Lavida will compete in China with the Buick Excelle who will step things up at the show too with the unveiling of their Invicta coupe-sedan concept.
The second world debut, we expect, will be the Neeza in production form. After some comparison, the Lavida and Neeza have plenty of commonalities leading us to believe that an estate version will be debuted alongside the sedan.
sure doesn't look like a VW, maybe a Toyota Camry? Dull and downmarket- why does everybody make specially bad cars for China?
Old-school Audi proportions make this look awful, and if it's Buick competition it'll float around softly, like a pillow. "Unto each his own" I guess.
A chimpanzee excrement on wheels. But they missed five charms hanging off the inner mirror.
wow that does not look like a VW. Hope it is not a sign of things to come!!
not really sure what that red thing is... but the silver one looks like a face lifted jetta... not renowned for being an overly beautiful car, more of a poor mans luxury car. That being said, poor mans luxury car suits china good enough.
I think is the same platform of the new skoda superb.
Sorry to say, but China makes everything look cheap....ruins the image totally
The backdesign looks a bit strong and unfinished, but the rest is nice. not something special - most of you guys compared it to some Toyota. I agree, but other then it looks quiet nicer then some european Volkswagen. And I think it's more "Volkswagen" then current Passat, Phaeton or so...
oh and NO: it's the Audi-B6 basic and NOT the new Skoda Superb one!
this car is for the fast growing market in china..they want a piece of bite on the market share..they want it fast..german and japanese car manufacturer are about 10 years late in chinese market..the american made a good step
it looks like a toyota corolla sedan with a diferent badge and some diferent bumpers...
the only good thing is that it is only for the china market!

Looks a bit like a FIAT
