Range topping Corvette

Geigercars.de loves American cars in all shapes and sizes, ranging from Hummer to Ford. The German tuning house work their Euro tuning magic on the American cars with great success, like the world's fastest police Hummer, Cadillac Escalade and the anything but regular 'Vette Z06.

And when you thought that Geigercars managed to sqeeuze the Z06 engine for what its worth, then you will be happy to know that the Germans have done it once again. Where the stock Z06 comes with a very respectable 512 hp, the Geigercars Z06 manages with 542 hp. But the new range topping Geigercars Black Edition Z06 extracts 592 hp from the LS7 7.0-liter V8 engine.

The body kit is all black-out, including 18 or 19 inch black wheels, for extra appeal and makes us wonder whether this should have been the new KITT.

seems like they've tried to copy either the 612 Scaglietti or the F430 when it comes to the rear tail lamp design! :P

I like it except for the rear-end...its a Corvette, not a Ferrari. The factory Corvette rear end is gorgeous, it doesnt need to be changed, especially to a ferrari imitator.

I agree, those are shitty tail lights for this car. Rest of the car that still looks like a corvette is beautiful though.

The tails don't match with the rest of the body; seem like something from a Koenigsegg or a Ferrari. The Corvette should maintain its own unique shape and not be messed around with.

yeah first thing I thought was the rear looks Ferrari-esque loads of power, but still the Europeans can get more power from smaller engines

poor europeans... always turbo charging the sh!t out of their engines due to lack of displacement. hehe theres no replacement for displacement... yada yada yada. In the long run it doesn't matter how a car gets its power. As long as it has it, and can handle it.

I looked up some numbers on the LS7 engine... I am gonna compare the ls7 to the Mercedes AMG v8 6.3 liter... renowned as the worlds most powerful naturally aspirated v8. Lets see... LS7 505 hp - AMG 510 hp ... LS7 475 ftlbs - AMG 465 ftlbs ... LS7 7000rpm - AMG 7200rpm ... LS7 7.0 liters - AMG 6.3 liters ... LS7 458lbs dry - AMG 445lbs dry ... fuel economy of a LS7 powered Corvette 16city/26highway MPG - fuel economy of a CL 63 AMG 11city/18highway MPG. Sure the Corvette only weighs 3,132lbs where as the CL 63 AMG comes in at a whopping 4,599lbs. And yes that is exactly why it gets poorer fuel economy. My question now is, why do people care about the hp/liter ratio? It doesn't necessarily mean your car is gonna be lighter weight and or more fuel efficient. And the fact that people honestly believe that the true measure of an engines quality lies in that number alone is astounding. Really people, open your eyes, you cannot just assume that since it's American it has to be crap.

I have been arguing that for so long with import lovers. they alway talk about hp/liter ratio but I'm always like who cares its the power the engine produces that matters.

The C63AMG can seat 4 in comfort, take u n ur kids n mom for shopping.. n also it can be used on a day to day basis.. a lot more efficient engine, it doesnt use century old pushrod technology n leaf springs!! ever driven a C class?? :O n please those huge American powerplants are BAD... i dont mean the American version of bad!:P i seriously mean.. bad, worse, worst! :P rather than having there gargantuam old style V8s, have a V12.. n btw, the AMG engine, 6.3V8 can actually produce 544bhp.. n one more thing.. this is a souped up Corvette.. mind comparing it to the C Brabus?? plus.. lets talk of the 8l V10 from Dodge.. produces 600bhp.. 8000cc :O a Porche CarreraGT has a 5.5l n produces just about 50bhp lesser.. n mind it, its also a much better car!!

American cars r best only for the Americans.. it sucks to the rest! n mind u, I'm not European! ;)
