Big sporty allow wheels, larger brake discs and callipers plus a pair of exhaust pipes scream FR variant for the recently revealed fourth generation SEAT Ibiza. With the sportiest variant held by the Cupra, the FR represents the sporty mid-range model just above the base models.

As presented in the Bocanegra Concept, speculation puts the Ibiza FR and Cupra doing away with the current 150hp and 180hp 1.8-liter turbo engine in favor of an improved version of VWs Golf GT 1.4 TSI engine producing 170 to 200 hp respectively.

Starting with the three-door, the base model Ibiza is expected to go on sale in Europe towards the end of 2008.
