F250 Concept. South Africa’s Guess For A New Ferrari Dino

Real Car Will be Shown in Paris

This year’s edition of the Paris Motors Show already has its main attraction: a new entry level Ferrari model that, meanwhile, is being called Dino, not only because it will be the cheapest option the Italian automaker will offer, but also because it could have a V6 engine. If this information was confirmed, this is what the car could look like, according to the South Africa’s designer Idries Noah. And he has named it the F250 Concept.

The 250 of the name is no homage to Ford’s F-Series, but a reference to the engine Noah has imagined for the car, a 2,5-litre V6 that also runs on ethanol (a real possibility, considering Ferrari’s F430 Spider Bio Fuel Concept), and a reference to the 250 GTO. Our sources inform that the car will use another engine, though: a V8 pumping out 400 hp.

If the engine happens to be different from what Noah has imagined, most of the other ideas will surely be the same, such as the mid-rear engine position and the rear wheel drive propulsion system.

Since the F250 Concept is a product of Noah’s imagination, the real vehicle will possibly look very different from this one, but it is nice for us to have a glimpse of the many appearances it may have. This one would surely honor Ferrari’s fame for beautiful cars. Let’s hope the real thing does even better.

yeah it looks great! looks too aggressive to be the equivelent of a dino though - which wasnt really a true thoroughbred ferrari. what would be really interesting is the price if they do release it.

That's a good chunk of fantastic. Traditionally, shouldn't it be canary yellow? I don't know much about Dino tradition.

This is guess?Guess of what? The dino will never look like anything near this.Altho It looks good, Its more suitable for an Enzo replacement than the entry level ferrari.

The new Dino has apparently been already been leaked, based on photos of a Mattel scale model of it. Saw it somewhere online, although I can't recall where. This version looks pretty nice. Definitely some original detailing, and not bad for someone who doesn't even work for Ferrari (yep, looks more original than the new Saleen Raptor, for those who were up in arms with my comments last week).

tried tracking down those photos...couldn't find them. Could've been the rendering on the website taking pre-orders...

very nicely rendered and that front is a techy masterpiece, though the rear is a little pudge the lines are very expressive. One thing though....isn't the dino supposed to be a front engine, and if so i realy don't know what those top vents are for cause i don't know of any car needing that much venting for the brakes. So in just, this seems more like a replacement for the current 430 and i ain't complaining.

The Ferrari Dino has always had a mid-mounted engine.

... though the engine in its counterpart, the Fiat Dino, was, apparently, mounted up front.

One more thought, it would only seem right for the next dino to have a v6 if it is to be a front engined car. Like the Nissan GTR, it would serve to balance the car, cause i don't want to see no viper from ferrari.
