Redefined SUV

The current second-generation Mercedes-Benz M-class has been on the roads since 2005 so in order to keep the SUV looking fresh Mercedes has slightly revamped the car. So far the 2nd gen M-Class has found its way to almost 300,000 customers worldwide, making it one of the more successful cars in the still growing SUV market.

The M-class facelift has been equipped with a new front fascia (redesigned bumper, restyled headlamps and a new grille), rear fascia (new bumper with reflector strips, restyled tail lights with smoked glass look), new two-tone leather interior and new four-spoke leather steering wheel.

There are no engine changes, power still ranges between 140 to 285 kW (190 hp to 388 hp) but fuel economy has slightly improved by 0.4 liters per 100 km. Optional extras are LED taillights, rectangular chromed tailpipes and there is a choice between 17, 18, 19 and 20 inch light-alloy wheels.

The ML 63 AMG 4MATIC remains the range-topper with 375 kW / 510 hp and receives its own share of updates. The ML 63 AMG is fitted with new front and rear bumpers with chromed underguard, a larger AMG grille in high-gloss black with chrome detailing, new side mirror casing, aluminum look roof rails and new 20 inch 5-spoke light-alloy wheels (295/40R20). New LED taillights go together with the bi-xenon optional headlights and for those who want them, 21 inch wheels are also available.

Well, I never have really seen the M- class as a car I would drive (Which im sure is entirely based on the fact the car in built in Alabama) But, this dsnt look so bad, I think Id still take the GLK though.

Also, I hate how the mirrors are so close to the car, let them stick out some (like on the E S C class) Mainly on the GL, reminds me of a person w/ ears to small for their head.

Not bad... besides bigger sidemirrors I'd get squared or rectangular vents inside. Why are these pix so low res??
