Mercedes has released their plans for the upcoming Geneva Auto Show, where the company will debut five new models.

The Mercedes SL which was recently revealed will make its official debut at Geneva, featuring a freshened face and updated interior. Two new six cylinder engines will be offered, the SL 280 produces 170kW and the SL 350 which now produces 16% more power for a total of 232kW. The SL 350 also features an additional 10Nm of torque, allowing for a 0-100 km time of 6.2 seconds, a full four tenths of a second quicker than the previous model. Improved performance also means greater fuel economy in this case, as the SL 350, SL 500, and SL 600 all consume 0.4 liters less fuel per 100 km compared to previous models. As part of the facelift, models now feature a redesigned front end with a single horizontal bar, the addition of AIRSCARF and intelligent lighting as options.

Slotted below the SL is the SLK which also received a freshening with redesigned front and rear ends.  The SLK offers the updated 350 engine from the SL is offered, a modernized interior, new instrument gauge cluster, and a three-spoke steering wheel. Fuel consumption for the SLK 350 improves by 1.1 liters per 100 km. Power output for the SLK 200 has increased by 15kW to 135kW total, while fuel consumption improves by one liter per 100 km.

The CLC has over 1100 new components compared to its predecessor and features new front and rear ends. Much of the interior carries over from the previous generation but sports seats with further improved lateral support, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, automatic climate control and brushed aluminum trim are standard equipment. Engines include four and six cylinder options, producing between 90-200kW.

Updates to the CLS include an improved interior with a three-spoke steering wheel, new instrument cluster, and chestnut wood trim. The big news is the addition of an entry level CLS 280 rated at 170kW and 300Nm of torque.

Mercedes will also introduce a 4MATIC version of the CL 500 coupe. Weighing in at just 70 kilograms the system is the lightest ever created, allowing for a 0-100km time of 5.4 seconds and a top speed of 250km/h. The new AWD model will be available this summer.

well ... no more no ideas mercedes?!

"new" SL: very old technology with now unharmonious design [front new, side line and the back is old) CLS and SLK just minor facelifts, CLC is just the same as SL. Not really innovative mercedes, where are new ideas?!

well, the SL is old. that current body style came out in 2003 and the last sl didn't change for 12 years. mercedes should shorten it to 7 years just like the rest of that other cars. the CLC is another joke. based on the w203 chassis which is already 9 years old and this chassis is going on for another 7 with the old w203 interior. that car is also made in south africa. thank god it is going to be for the euro market.

All I've noticed about mercs are they keep injecting steroids to their engines but tend to forget about their designs

Hum, Well, i have grown fown of the CLC, and the SL, but i guess Mercedes figures, if they did it right the first time why change it? I liked the Mercedes that would last for 10 years (the w124, w126, ect) Id rather them spend more time on the up and comming Mercedes and give us warm overs then they do a rush job and they come out sloppy. However i do mess the facelifts like on the W220 and W211 where you got new tail lamps, head lamps trim, and intrior features (refering to the slk and cls facelift). Anyway, I like the SL, CLC, and GLK (which they didnt mention, hum...)

this MB CLs tail end looks is not too different from a Jaguar XJ . . . and Mercedes is indicting China for industrial espionage/copyright infringement ? ' must be a traditional Stuttgarten double-standard operating procedure .
