The Portfolio series of special edition XKR Jaguars build on an already beautiful car. The 2009MY XKR Portfolio replaces the highly successful 2007 MY car and will be shown for the first time at the 2008 Geneva show in March.

The XKR Portfolio is equipped with the standard XKR’s all aluminium body construction, supercharged 4.2 Litre V8 engine and ZF 6 speed automatic transmission. The Portfolio aims to subtly enhance this package with some refined additions, the most striking of which are the 20 inch Selena alloy wheels. Other exterior changes are the milled aluminium “power vents”, Portfolio boot lid signature badge and striking 6 pot front and 4 pot rear braking callipers coloured in red. The vehicle is finished off in an exclusive “Shadow Grey” metallic paint colour, and if you choose the convertible, either black or grey hoods.

Interior upgrades abound. No Jaguar would be complete without some soft hide covered 16-way electrically adjustable seats. The leather can be optioned with Cranberry twin needle stitching or Ivory with Slate twin needle stitching. The unique Bower & Wilkins surround sound system is specifically designed for the XK’s interior acoustics. An alloy and leather gear selector and alloy gate surround completes the sumptuous interior. Often heard. The irony is that until recently all Aston shares were held by Jaguar in the Ford empire and it was the underpinnings of the XJS which were used for the DB7, the car which arguably got Aston to where they are today - before then they struggled to build a hundred cars a year. Now they are knocking on for 10,000 a year.

Aston owes Jaguar a lot!
