Gemballa tunes new Cayenne Turbo, again
Advocates of the anti-SUV campaign are probably not acquainted with this new GEMBALLA conversion, simply titled Tornado GTS and GTR. If they were they could be converted to SUV campaigners in an instant. The vehicle is based on the 957 Porsche Cayenne Turbo and features power previously reserved for razor-door type supercars. In its previous life, the GEMBALLA conversion was extensively covered.
Meanwhile, new GTS features adjustable seats, a panoramic roof and 4WD. Optional are the multimedia package and the cooling box. As you can probably tell from these pictures, this is a sort of coupe SUV as it sits quite some way closer to the ground than normal. The rear seats as well are as adjustable as the front seats, and offer the same level of sportiness whether you are watching traffic flash by or steering the beast yourself.
GTR features lightweight materials, racing seats and 2WD as an option.
It's funny to see, and probably to drive too. The dashboard couldn't look worse than the original, anyway... But those backlights mixture of VW Phaeton and Ferrari are totally uncongruous??
bad CG, doesn't help what is a cheap-looking car... yuck- I prefer the Rinspeed Chopster any day
I wouldnt go that far... I like the interior, it's like the Carrera GT. And the rear looks nice, but the front has too much going on.
classic example is european 'ah bengs'.. the classiness of a porsche has totally dissappeared.. shame on you gemballa..
Putting aside for a moment the feact that it looks hideous, surely a lowered SUV is JUST an estate/wagon, not a coupe. And why would you buy a Cayenne, get these clowns to butcher it and give it 2WD when you can just get an RS6? Ah yes, so everyone can see how much money and how little taste you have...
Gemballa should produce own cars and not undesign existing good cars, that's unserious and more typical for private nonsence-tuners
...oh, and I agree. why you call it coupé??? it's more a to high wagon yet, ecspecially with 2WD..Bahh
Nah yall don't seem to get it. I am personally totally anti-tuning, since, except very rare cases (novitec, etc.) they ruin the balance and statement found on factory high end vehicles, but this is so extreme it simply can't compare with the original 957 Cayenne. The kind of eccentricity that you don't mind having when you can afford all the other great cars, provided the customer is allowed to customize to some degree (ie exit those awful backlights and stickers).
Now this is how all Porsche Cayenne's should look like, this is a real ride well worth having. For an SUV definitely a head turner. Lets hope more of these will be available for the Cayenne lovers out there. Stock (factory) cars are ok, why not pre-buy them made for our individual requirements? See abve pic and decide for yourselves...
I am sceptical about how the back looks, but in general it is nice. I think the TechArt Magnum is a bit better looking and the engine is better, what do you think people? Does anybody know the price for this new Gemballa 700?
What's the crash test rating on that front end?

chop the roof down! pimp that ride... hehe but seriously, I wanna work for gemballa. It's as though they have a team of guys who make whatever they find interesting, not caring if it's gonna compete with something they already have on the market.
