Porsche 911 Turbo Facelift Almost Undisguised
Winter testing
Another round of next-generation Porsche 911 Turbo photos has surfaced, this time capturing the updated autobahn-stormer in unclad winter testing. The largely unchanged, Cayman-inspired sloped nose and menacing black wheels are almost familiar to the spy cameras by now, but the snow dusting the black prototype highlights the redesigned rear bumper's exhaust outlets and air vents. The high-contrast winter pictures also give us our first good look at the new LED foglight and taillamp arrays.
The revised 911 Turbo is expected to arrive for the 2009 model year, just in time to face off against the new Nissan GT-R.

In the UK the 911 (in Carrera) form loses just 10.9% of it's value in the first year, but even if it's the same for the Turbo that means roughly £10,000! Worse than the VW Eos (6%) or Audi TT (5.85)

And I can't believe a new set of tail lamps is going to mean massive depreciation for those Turbo's registered before this facelift. Just buy the new tail lamps!

Come on dont u think its gona need a little more then a face lift to compete with the looks of the new GTR ... haha i feel bad for Porsche ..they never though The GTR would be that good lol its almost too funny!

Ohh I am sure Porsche is shaking in the boots....I think its funny that you actually think they are gonna hurt from Nissan producing the GT-R!!!

Beside the LED tails, I dont' see what they've changed. Also, the GTR is a problem for porsche as Nissan engineers used the Turbo as their standard when developing the car; both cars were tested simultaneously at the ring. The GTR's also significantly cheaper and in design terms, much more innovative.

The 997 needed badly leds in the read, but most important is the new range of direct injection engines... can't wait for the 2009/2010 +450hp GT3

whats so funny about it, the gtr beat the current 997 turbo in almost all performance figures, thats why its getting a direct injection system (more power, less emissions)

don't know the name but you might be able to find out on the porsche website. I think its just the black version of the stock Turbo rims.

IMHO this car is most probably a Turbo S with upgrades in engine as well...
So 500+ BHP should be expected...

If they wanna keep up with the GTR perfomance they better also give a boost in bhp with this facelift.In design wise I think that It should do just fine.

GTR run rings around the turbo, the only option porsche has is to stick 5.0 engine .....good luck

LOL LOL LOL GT-R compare to Porsche? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA in your dreams ... you obviously have no taste for quality, craftsmanship, and engineering. I don't care about the performance of a Nissan, as it will never match a Porsche Turbo, period. The Nissan is another cheap car for the masses.
