Ford Focus Stripped to Make Musical Instruments
Focus goes classical!
In what can only be called a musical engineering accomplishment, two composers from the United States have transformed 21 parts from a new Ford Focus, right off the production line, into musical instruments for Ford UK’s latest advertising campaign, due to air on ITV on the 4th of February.
Hollywood film composer Craig Richey and New York sound designer Bill Milbrodt assembled an orchestra which was made up entirely from the car’s parts, featuring 31 instruments in total. The orchestra performed the music that will be used in the soundtrack to a new television commercial for the Focus.
The photo shoot took place at Universal Studios in California and featured, amongst other instruments, a Door Harp, Clutch Guitar, and Fender Bass.
