Opel Insignia Almost Undisguised
Design details emerge
First seen as the Opel GTC Concept, the new Opel Insignia (aka Vauxhall Insignia aka Saturn Insignia) will be replacing the outgoing Opel Vectra. Whatever you may call it, one thing is for sure... it is almost ready! And we have photos to prove it.
In the Swedish city of Trollhätan, famously known for its Saab factory and its hard-core Saab following, we spotted an almost undisguised Opel Insignia driving around. And where the usual prototypes come with mesmerizing black and white zebra stripes, this one has only a few left-over strips of tape on the body work.
We finally get to admire the new taillights on the car that will feature them. Opel has been making a big hype for the rear tailamps, and truth be told they look pretty good. In my humble opinion better than the 'up-side-down' Ford Mondeo taillights. The swooping profile lines have finally come out from under its protective tape and are accentuated by the BMW Z4 swerve on the boot lid.
We can only come to conclusion that the Insignia will steal the show in London this summer when it makes its world debut.

the Corsa is curently the ugliest car after the Maybacg and ssangyong Rexxon(?)
Apparently too corporate design, but let's wait and see the car in person first.
The back works really well when faced on, otherwise it looks a little ungainly and awkward. I'll reserve judgement until it is undisguised.
better than the last Vectra but still a little bland really.
sooo fat and corsa looking...they really want it to compete with the mondeo and the new c5 ?
Mondeo has rubbish rear headroom so at least the insignia will be on equal terms there. If it handles anywhere near the mondeo I think it will do better in sales. A nice though rather derivative Bimmer 5 series X Mazda 6 love child.
Oh dear, I don't like it. The front looks too heavy.
