G-Power Twin Turbo M5 Hurricane with 730hp

Audi's RS 6 is king of the hill with a twin-turbo V10 making 580hp and BMW wants a piece of that action as spy photos of an alleged twin-turbo powered BMW M5 V10 engine, expected for its mid-cycle debut, indicate. However, tuning firms such as G-Power have already taken the liberty. Running just 0.5bar of boost pressure the bi-turbo system produces a staggering 730hp, a 50% increase over the standard 507hp. G-Power recently put the M5, dubbed Hurricane, to the test at the Nardo high speed test track in Italy and “only” achieved a premature top speed of 322 km/h (200 mph) due to an electrical fault compared to its potential 350 km/h (217 mph) according to G-Power engineers. G-Power is currently planning to increase boost pressure to 1.0 bar for an output of 800hp. Details to follow towards the end of the month.

It's not a twin-turbo, but twin-supercharged (AFAIK).

i think its time that bmw throw their hat into the supercar ring, mercedes has the slr, and g-power has already proved that the m series v10 engine has alot of potential. now a sleek and sexy, mid engined bmw supercar sounds awesome.

no sh*t,pressing 800 hp ? this power war is going insane, we need overall performance not only hp, i'll prefer a lightweight 550 hp m5, with modified chassis, superb braking and 50 : 50 weight distribution

yep....its a twin charger....NO turbo

I also think its tiem to BMW put a real supercar on tracks, they powered the McLaren F1 whith 680hp at 95...Im still waiting 800hp non turbo V12 supercar, how birng terror whit its sound and blast every other "super" electronic car

Remember that the super BMW E53 X5 LM has a normal aspirated 6.0 litre V12 engine taken from the McLaren F1 LM, tweaked more to deliver 750bhp.

I think this thing is going to be ridiculously expensive. Better off getting the Brabus CLS Rocket. Or E Class.
