Pininfarina has announced the unveiling of a new concept at the Geneva Motor Show in early March, 2008. Not since the Birdcage 75th Concept (pictured above), which debuted three years ago, has Pininfarina displayed a prototype anticipating future design trends as well as new technologies in the areas of mobility, active safety and packaging solutions. Named “Sinesi”, the prototype which in typical Pininfarina style, focuses on “beauty driven by functionality, of sportiness and elegance”. The Sintesi is the result of the Pininfarina Design Department, under the direction since last August by Lowie Vermeersch, the 33 year old Design Director with almost ten years experience at Pininfarina. Assisting him are Vice Directors Guglielmo Cartia and Fabrizio Valentini and chief designers Jason Castriota, Giovanni Piccardo, Goran Popovic and Giuseppe Randazzo.

well in my opinion the 75th bird cage is the one of the best looking concepts i have ever seen, it embodies everything a concept should be. something different, completely from the imagination, something that evokes desire, and something that just plain looks cool. and i suspect this next concept coming from Pininfarina will uphold that pedigree very well.
