The new Ford Fiesta, based on the well received Verve concept, is on its way, and right from the get-go Ford will make its sporty sibling available. The Fiesta is built on the B2E platform (which it shares with the Mazda2) and will feature all the new Kinetic design cues from the new Mondeo and Focus. And this time around, the US will be receiving the Euro styled Fiesta.

We are expecting the Ford Fiesta ST to be powered by a 200 hp turbo engine, and with the new platform being smaller and lighter than the previous generation this should become a street boy racer favourite.

The Kinetic design means that the front will feature a trapezoidal grille below the license plate, headlamps that run back to the front wheels arches, more pronounced wheel arches in front and back and a smooth side-window and rounded rear window.

The caught three door prototype is already equipped with a rear wing and alloy wheels. It also has larger air intakes although they are still covered with camouflage.
