Audi R8's little brother is catching up

It was just a few weeks a go we had the first spy shots of the 280hp Audi TT S sporting LED headllamps, now Audi is busy preparing an even more powerful version namely the Audi TT RS which is expected to pack 340-450hp.

We can quite clearly see in this new set of spy photos large air intakes as well as a new front spoiler. Also we can find the typical set of oval exhaust outlets, featured on all RS models from Audi . In addition to all the visible changes, the TT-RS also has bigger wheels and brakes to keep this monster TT on the road.

With the RS8 also on the way there will be no shortage of Audi monsters this Halloween.

340 hp ,that's nice...don't really sure about the "no non german competitors "...i am sure there will be Rally Art version of the evo x...it will beat the TT - RS

Once again, silversedanman has a raging boner for Germany. Try to keep it in your pants.

Doesn't surprise me, are you forgetting Italian cars, silversemen? Ferrari????

by ferrariguy | October 27, 2007 12:03 PM
if he tt-rs is better than the R8 or the upcoming RS8 i'm sure Audi will build a nice big monster of a A9 hopefully.

OOOOOOh...i'm sorry ferrariguy bu u r fool! becausegerman cars are THE BEST...

by leeryboy90 | October 27, 2007 8:28 PM
In this compact class there will be no Non german competitors. Its just this one, slk amg, etc...

by silversedanman | October 28, 2007 12:34 AM
I agree german cars are good, but when it comes to exotic and supercars Italians can't be beat. You're the fool to not realize this! And let me guess, another gimmick account!

by ferrariguy | October 28, 2007 4:16 AM
I think the Z4 or Z4 M is another competitor to this car.

by ferrariguy | October 28, 2007 4:17 AM
Hey ferrariguy, Ferrari isn't even in this class buddy. To compare with the Ferrari, it's the R8 or R8 with the V10. TT is not nearly as expensive. And BMW is German, so it doesn't exactly qualify for non-German.

by un_peacekeeper | October 28, 2007 11:54 AM
the competition is on the same web page and will be 2/3rds the price - the GT R!! AWD and 470 hp with a 530 hp model to follow!! And oh ya...........its not German!!

by nmnissan | October 29, 2007 5:44 AM
There is nothing special about this TT, just a S-line without fog's and double oval tailpipes. The only thing that can make this TT special is a high performance engine under the bonnet. Like a 365 hp inline five 2.5 TFSI or a 448 hp VR6 3.2 TFSI.

The Nissan GT-R is a 1740 Kg car with 470 hp. A TT-RS will probably weigh 1450 Kg and need to have 400 hp to get on the same level.

Ice.

Well, if you read between the lines Silversedanman said there is only "one," competitor and that was the SLK from mercedes, I said no, there is also the Z4 and Z4M. And no, I threw ferrari in there because one of the comments said, "german cars are the best," and callin me a fool.I disagree. They are great, however, I said Italians have the germans on supercars, that's all! ;)

But other then that, I gotcha Un_peacekeeper =)

by ferrariguy | October 29, 2007 11:23 AM
I want to see a rear-wheel drive lighter version of this car.

by TheStig | October 31, 2007 7:07 AM
"etc" = other similar sized german cars.

by silversedanman | November 1, 2007 7:09 AM
Then please enlighten us, which etc... ones???? LOL!
