BMW X1 Mule Spotted
At first glance you may think this is a tin can car your Uncle has just spent the summer months banging together, thats where you would be wrong, you are looking at the first shots of the BMW X1 Mule, and as we can see it is still in it's very early stages of development. This mule is being driven by the BMW's Test driver, who was recently seen testing the 1 Series Cabrio which BMW revealed over the weekend.
The X1 will share the same platform as the Mini SAV and we should see it launched in 2009 as a 2010 model.

Hello all big specialist for BMW... well you need to watch exactly the details - for example: the driver is the same test driver that is testing BMW cars. more than that, this car was pictured recently on the ring - not in the end of 2004! BMW has announced last week that they are planning this car (X1 SUV)

Erm...I'll try English next time. Anyway, by using this platform, one would think BMW can easily insert the desired driveline, tweak IT while developing the concept of the actual vehicle at the same time. It probably saves both time and money in the long run.
