Back in Geneva, Lada stepped into the 21st century with the Concept C. They showed a promising hatchback design which is to be the basis of an entirely new range of vehicles varying from a sedan to a crossover SUV. The Austrian Magna Steyr, who mostly builds cars for DaimlerChrysler, has been helping out with the design and technicalities.
Today, Autoblog.nl has come across some new images on the web and reveals to us a new insight into the upcoming Lada. It seems that the first installment of the Lada C range will be a sedan vying to compete with the new Chevrolet Aveo by the looks of it. The new Lada, which regretfully looks nothing like the concept car, will be equipped with the latest gadgets like ABS, ESP with Brake Assist, Xenon lights and heated side mirrors. Power is expected to come from engines ranging between 1.6 liter and 2.0 liters.
