Unlike the previous spy photos of the new Ford Fiesta in a bag, here are the first clear photos taken in Germany showing the entire body. The New Fiesta based on the new Mazda 2 platform named B2E by Ford will share most of its mechanical parts.
The new Fiesta clearly shows signs of Ford Europe's Kinetic design philosophy. We can see a more rounded body shape particularly in the hood, roof line and rear glass. Trapezoidal lower bumper/grille combo with headlamps that sweep towards the more pronounced fenders all echo the Kinetic design cues seen in last years Ford Iosis X Concept.
Set to debut one year from now in Europe as a 2009 model, the new Fiesta for the first time will also be offered in the US a year later while retaining most of its European design. Naturally, some minor design alterations will be made to accommodate US regulations, but basically, what you see is what the U.S. gets.
