...and Sedan testing at Nürburgring

Here are first photos of the wagon version of the next generation Ford Mondeo . Along with it also the sedan made a few laps for high speed testing at Germany's race track Nürburgring just a few days ago.

Both prototypes look like they just came down from cold weather testing still wearing the heavy winter disguise to keep them warm. Stuffed plastic parts hide almost the whole car in order not to reveal too much of the new styling.

The current Mondeo has been on the market since the year 2000. The next generation Mondeo will we available in a much larger variety of body styles, all on the same platform. There will be a Mondeo fastback, sedan, station wagon and convertible. And additionally the future D-Max (small Galaxy with 5 seats) and the E-Max (big Galaxy with 7 seats) will share the Mondeo's platform.

An equally a wide selection of fuel engines ranging from 1.8 litre 110 HP to 2,3 litre 240 HP will be offered, plus four Diesels from 1.6 litre 109 HP to 2.2 litre 275 HP. Power for the sportiest top of the line model, the Mondeo ST, will come from Jaguar and Volvo. The new Ford Mondeo is scheduled for launch at the end of next year.
